FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Three people have been hospitalized after a series of stabbings near Red Feather Lakes in Larimer County.

The Coloradoan reports (https://noconow.co/1mNL5Wh ) that police believe the stabbings may be connected to a gathering of the counterculture group the Rainbow Family.

Police were called around 11 p.m. Tuesday to areas around Red Feather Lakes on reports of a stabbing victim.

In total, authorities treated three patients. At least one other person refused medical care.

Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Nick Christensen says the stabbings involved members of the Rainbow Family. No arrests had been made Wednesday evening, and there was not believed to be an ongoing threat to the community. The group was said to have been camping on U.S. Forest Service land.
