GARDEN CITY, Mich. (AP) - A 75-year-old woman with dementia who walked out of a hospital emergency room in suburban Detroit has turned up safe.

Police say 75-year-old Judith Gonzalez left the Garden City Hospital on Monday afternoon and was reported missing by her daughter. Gonzalez has dementia and requires medication.

Authorities say she was taken from her Livonia nursing home to the hospital after her feeding tube came loose. Her daughter says Gonzalez didn’t want to be in the hospital or undergo a procedure.

Police said Wednesday that Gonzalez was found safe in Dearborn Heights.
