MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Police are investigating six small arson-caused fires set at Mesa churches in the past two months and looking for a suspect.

In each case, a Bible or pile of papers was torched and left outside a door.

Authorities say all of the fires have occurred overnight.

There have been no injuries and minimal property damage, with a door damaged in one incident.

Police believe the crimes are related as they were committed in a similar fashion and fit a pattern.

The fires began in the Fiesta District in May, where fires occurred May 11, 17 and 18 at Mesa Baptist Church.

Fires occurred on June 14 at East Mesa Christian Church, June 20 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church and July 9 at Calvary Baptist Church.
