BRIGHTON, Mich. (AP) - A southeastern Michigan history buff has organized the inaugural tour of her town.

Tammy Sexton tells the Livingston Daily (https://bit.ly/Ueh8TT ) her 90-minute guided bus tour of Brighton highlights some of the town’s most interesting characters and places. Participants will hear about a man with a 9-foot long beard and a hotel that allowed people to hold séances.

She says she learned about the Brighton stories by reading old copies of the Daily Press & Argus.

The tour is part of this weekend’s three-day Brighton Community Reunion and costs $10. Proceeds will benefit the Brighton Area Historical Society and Brighton CORE, a nonprofit organization.
