LOVELAND, Ohio (AP) - Police say an 11-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in southwestern Ohio after she was accidentally shot in the arm while cleaning a gun with a family member.

Police say the girl’s injuries following the Wednesday night incident were not life-threatening.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports (https://cin.ci/1t7LZOa) police removed about seven guns from the home in Loveland in suburban Cincinnati “for safekeeping” during an investigation.

It wasn’t clear whether the girl or a family member was cleaning the gun when the accident happened.
