RIO RANCHO, N.M. (AP) - A man shot in Rio Rancho has died in a hospital and police say they’re still searching for suspects in the homicide case.

Rio Ranch police identified the victim as 57-year-old David Pickett.

According to police, a resident reported that his roommate had been shot by somebody else around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear.

Police say Pickett was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

They say investigators have identified several persons of interest in the case and are looking to interview them.
