MERCED, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say three men have been arrested in connection with a suspected gang-related shooting last year at a house party in Merced County that left three teenagers dead.

The Merced Sun-Star reports (https://bit.ly/UdIgSK ) the three were taken into custody this week on suspicion of murder and street-gang charges. They were identified as Jose Botello and Jose Carballido, both 19-year-old Atwater residents, and 18-year-old Jacob Tellez of Merced.

Officials say both Atwater residents belong to the same criminal street gang, and Tellez is a member of another gang.

All three were held Thursday without bail.

Detectives have not ruled out the possibility of making additional arrests in the shootings at an Easter holiday party.

Three people - 16-year-old Samantha Parreira, 18-year-old Bernabed Hernandez-Canela and 19-year-old Matthew Fisher - were fatally shot and two other young people were injured.
