BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont law enforcement officers want drivers to slow down on Interstate 89 in Chittenden County.

There are construction sites on the interstate and some people have had accidents.

Chittenden County Sheriff Kevin McLaughlin tells the Burlington Free Press (https://bfpne.ws/1qNrTXT) deputies stopped an intoxicated driver who drove through a closed construction site and nearly hit a flag person at Exit 13 in South Burlington. Police also said they investigated a pair of three-vehicle crashes in a work zone.
