ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - Two women are dead after a house fire in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Fire Chief Dennis Brooks tells The Press of Atlantic City (https://bit.ly/1qlmXgY ) that one woman was pulled from Friday’s blaze in “bad shape” from burns and smoke inhalation, was taken to a hospital and died. He says an elderly woman has been found in the building and firefighters are working to remove her body.

Brooks says the second and third floors of the home were fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at about 5 p.m.

He says it’s believed the fire started in the rear of the home. There’s no word yet on the cause.
