BRUCEVILLE-EDDY, Texas (AP) - The Texas Department of Public Safety says two northbound lanes on Interstate 35 are now open following a wreck involving three semitrailers.

Trooper D.L. Wilson says the southbound lanes should open Friday afternoon.

All lanes on Interstate 35 near Bruceville-Eddy were closed Friday morning while crews worked to clean up the accident. Traffic had been backed up for at least 12 miles in each direction.

The Waco Tribune-Herald (https://bit.ly/1u07uEL ) reports the wreck happened after a tractor-trailer hit a concrete barrier, pushing it onto opposite traffic where it was hit by another semitrailer.

A third tractor-trailer jackknifed after swerving to avoid hitting the first 18-wheeler.

Wilson says two people had minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
