RED WING, Minn. (AP) - A Minnesota trash hauler has been fined after an employee unloaded garbage on a customer’s driveway.

The Red Wing City Council tells the Rochester Post-Bulletin (https://bit.ly/1nT2ixG ) Paul’s Industrial Garage was cited Monday night for “dumping almost two tons of wet, putrescible waste.” Officials say it was in retaliation for an unpaid bill.

The company faces a $1,800 fine and $735 reimbursement fee for cleanup costs. The city also plans to issue a misdemeanor citation to the driver and misdemeanor tickets for unlawful dumping and public nuisance to the manager of Paul’s Industrial Garage.

A local official says several neighbors called the police after witnessing the employee dump the waste on June 20.
