PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Police say someone hacked the email account of a Pasadena high school teacher and sent pictures of him naked to more than 200 people.

Commander John Perez tells the Pasadena Star-News (https://bit.ly/1wFY0KK ) Friday that several of the more than 200 students, staff and community members who received the pictures last week called police, who launched an investigation.

Perez says investigators talked to the teacher and determined he was most likely not the sender. He says police have leads, but have not made any arrests in the case.

The teacher heads the science department at John Muir High School, where he has taught for six years.

School district spokesman Adam Wolfson says a letter of apology was sent to parents and staffers.

He says the teacher’s status has not been affected.
