MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Four men have been cited for allegedly shooting paintball guns that looked like real assault rifles at a vehicle in Madison.

Police say they received a report Friday afternoon that two men were using assault rifles to shoot at a vehicle in front of them. Police later talked to four men, who said they were in a consensual paintball gun war with the other vehicle.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports (https://bit.ly/WkJRro ) police found three paintball rifles and a paintball handgun in the men’s vehicle. A sergeant on the scene said one of the rifles was “very realistic looking” and resembled a camouflage AR rifle.

The men were cited with misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed.
