BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A 17-year-old woman missing for two weeks has been found outside of Chicago.

The Camera reported Saturday (https://bit.ly/1yHTlLb ) that an Illinois state trooper found Hana Shae Pendergrast Friday. The trooper noticed her panhandling.

Anne Pendergrast, Hana Shae’s mother, said she has no idea how her daughter got to Illinois or why she was there. Pendergrast said $2,000 donated by the community to help the family hire a private investigator to help with a search will be returned.

Hana Shae Pendergrast went missing from the Boulder Transit Center July 4. Authorities are working with her family to return her to Colorado.
