FAIR HAVEN, Vt. (AP) - Vermont fire officials say they believe a fire that destroyed a Fair Haven home was set.

Authorities say the fire at an unoccupied house on Park Avenue was called in at about 3:30 Saturday morning. By the time Fair Haven firefighters arrived the house was consumed by flames.

Damage is estimated at $50,000.

Investigators say they believe the fire was intentionally set.

Anyone with information is asked to call the state police arson tip line at 1-800-32-ARSON.

The investigation is ongoing.
