TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Tuscaloosa police say a man has been hospitalized in an accidental shooting in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant.

Sgt. Dale Phillips tells the Tuscaloosa News (https://bit.ly/1ps8Cdw) the man was driving his father’s truck and was showing his friends his father’s gun when the weapon discharged.

Authorities say the man was wounded in his right leg and has been taken to the DCH Regional Medical Center.

Police say the man’s injury isn’t considered life threatening.
