CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Crews have put out a fire at an industrial site in northwest Charlotte.

Officials say the fire was reported just after 9 p.m. Saturday at Cumulus Fibres.

A fire department spokesman says another alarm was sounded at around 9:30 p.m. Officials say the fire was in a warehouse at the textile plant, and heavy smoke was showing. Fire officials say it took about an hour to put it out.

Workers were inside at the time, but there were no immediate reports of injuries.

Crews have yet to release the official cause of the fire, but employees said they thought a machine jammed and overheated before catching fire.
