ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - Atlantic City police are seeking a motive for a shooting that left two people wounded.

The Press of Atlantic City (https://bit.ly/1p5RxY9) reports that police were called to the 400 block of North New York Avenue around 6 p.m. Saturday and soon found a man who had been shot in face.

Witnesses told the officers there was another victim, but a search turned up only shell casings. Area hospitals were notified about the shooting, in case the other victim sought treatment for their wounds.

A short time later, AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center officials told police that someone had gone there for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.

Further details on the shooting victims’ conditions were not available Sunday.
