CLAYTON, N.C. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the stabbing death of a man in Clayton.

Police say two men were arguing at around 10 p.m. Saturday behind a convenience store when 50-year-old Carlos Luis Rubio was stabbed twice. Rubio was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Authorities say 53-year-old Jose Louis Ramirez Delgado of Clayton was arrested later Sunday after being found hiding under a warehouse.

Police say Delgado was charged with homicide and is being held in the Johnston County jail. It wasn’t immediately known if he had an attorney.

Clayton police said it was the town’s first homicide in seven years.
