TROY MILLS, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have identified the 29-year-old woman who drowned while tubing down an eastern Iowa river over the weekend.

The Linn County Sheriff’s office says Andrea Zimmermann of Cedar Rapids died Saturday on the Wapsipinicon (Wahp-si-pen-eh-can) River.

Rescuers were called to the river after four people riding tubes went over the dam in Troy Mills.

Authorities say Zimmerman couldn’t immediately be found after the tubes went over the dam in the swift current.

A small crowd of people gathered on the bridge above the dam to watch the search.

Rescuers recovered Zimmerman’s body from the river.
