CLEVELAND (AP) - A school spokesman says four Case Western Reserve University students were robbed at gunpoint while on campus this weekend.

University spokesman William Lubinger tells the Northeast Ohio Media Group (https://bit.ly/1n3MIPK ) that the students were studying in the Wade Commons university building on Saturday afternoon, when three men wearing red bandanas demanded their belongings.

Lubinger said the suspects carried a silver handgun and had hoodies tied to their faces.

The university says in a statement it was “appalled” that the incident could take place inside one of its buildings. The school said it would find additional ways to improve safety.

The students’ belongings were found in a nearby, off-campus home. Police have made no arrests.
