BOULDER CITY, Nev. (AP) - Crews are searching for two swimmers who went missing during a gusty weekend at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Rangers say they’re looking for a man who jumped off a boat for a swim at Lake Mohave south of Willow Beach. A visitor reported he was missing a little before noon on Sunday.

Officials say another man was reported missing a little after 2 p.m. on Sunday. Rangers say he’d been swimming near the Boulder Islands on Lake Mead.

Authorities say neither of the missing swimmers was wearing a life jacket, and winds had been gusting between 20 and 30 mph throughout the afternoon.
