LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say a Los Angeles firefighter and a resident were injured in an early-morning fire at a condominium complex in the Sylmar area.

KABC-TV reports three condo units were damaged by the blaze reported at around 2 a.m.

A resident received minor burns while trying to fight the flames with a fire extinguisher.

The extent of the firefighters’ injuries was not immediately known.

Nine people were displaced by the blaze, which was knocked down in about 50 minutes.

The cause is under investigation.
