SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The National Weather Service has posted heat advisories for central and eastern South Dakota and southeastern North Dakota.

The forecast calls for high temperatures in the region Monday in the 90s and lower 100s. Humidity will make it feel even hotter.

There also is a chance of thunderstorms in both states. Forecasters say some storms might be severe, with damaging winds.
