ODENTON, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County police have charged a man in the fatal shooting of a teenager in his home in Odenton.

Twenty-year-old Bashunn Phillips of Gambrills was charged Friday and charged with first- and second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Shar-Ron Mason. Police say Phillips was arrested at a county detention center, where he is being held on an unrelated charge.

Officers say Mason was found fatally shot in his home on Dec. 10. Investigators say Mason and Phillips had been involved in a fight in which Phillips was charged.

Police say Phillips’ brother, a juvenile, was arrested Friday and charged with carrying a handgun and accessory after the fact in the crime.
