GARRISON, N.D. (AP) - A Montana duo has won the 2014 North Dakota Governor’s Walleye Cup and the $10,000 top prize that comes with it.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1k8d03X) that Ken Schmidt, of Glasgow, Montana, and Mark Jones, of Billings, weighed in Saturday with a two-day total of 32.51 pounds for the tournament title.

The annual walleye derby is held on Lake Sakakawea, with headquarters at Fort Stevenson State Park. There were 252 teams competing this year. Second place and a check for $4,400 went to a Coleharbor team, Josh Pochant and Eric Stebbins.
