CARLISLE, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania man who was airlifted to a hospital by helicopter after he was injured by a boat’s propeller is said to be in good condition.

Police say Jonathan Hittie of Carlisle was injured Saturday while water skiing on Conodoguinet Creek after the operator of the boat turned to pick him up and Hittie went under the boat.

Vickie Hudson, a spokeswoman for the Penn State Hershey Medical Center, said Hittie was listed in good condition Monday.

State Fish & Boat Commission spokesman Eric Levis says the boat operator was arrested and charged with boating under the influence. He says the case remains under investigation.

Other details, including the extent of Hittie’s injuries and his age, remained unclear Monday.
