TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Police in Tuscaloosa are searching for a suspect after a fatal shooting.

Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit commander Sgt. Dale Phillips said police were searching for a 21-year-old man they say is a suspect.

Phillips said 21-year-old JaMarcus Marquez Roberts was shot to death in his car early Sunday morning. Police tell The Tuscaloosa News (https://bit.ly/1k8eV8J) that Roberts had been shot before crashing his car into the shrubs at the entrance to the Motel 6 on Skyland Boulevard.

Authorities said Roberts — who had been shot once in the chest — died early Sunday morning at DCH Regional Medical Center.
