RENO, Nev. (AP) - Investigators say a 16-year-old boy is dead after a weekend shooting in a Reno neighborhood.

Reno police say they got reports of gunfire on the 900 block of Nutmeg Place at about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Officers who arrived at the scene found the wounded teenager and started lifesaving efforts.

The boy was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say it’s not clear whether the shooting is gang-related.

The boy’s name hasn’t yet been released.
