DETROIT (AP) - Michigan Opera Theatre is to present a free outdoor performance in Detroit.

Called “Grand Songs of the Stage,” the performance is scheduled for Wednesday during the Summer in the Park series at Grand Circus Park.

A handful of artists are to sing highlights from “Faust,” ”Madame Butterfly,” ”The Merry Widow” and others.



Among those expected to perform are sopranos Jennifer Rowley and Angela Theis, tenor Blake Bard and baritone Nicholas Davis. They’re to be joined by Jean Schneider, Michigan Opera Theatre’s resident accompanist.
