ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A movie will be filming in downtown Asheville next week.

The Asheville Citizen-Times reported (https://avlne.ws/1rAucRY) that some driving scenes are expected to be filmed on downtown streets July 30. Street closings will begin July 29.

Owen Wilson and Kristen Wiig have been in the area since shooting began July 7 for the “Untitled Armored Car Project.”

The first scenes were shot in Swannanoa, before the crew went to Waynesville and other locations around Asheville.

The movie is based on the real-life story of the $17 million robbery of the regional vault of Loomis Fargo & Company in Charlotte in 1997. The robbery was organized by an armored car driver and vault supervisor.

The film is slated to be released in August 2015.
