INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (AP) - For the second time in two months, Washoe County sheriff’s deputies have had to rescue one of the boats they use for search and rescues at Lake Tahoe.

Deputies say they’re trying to figure out what caused the small boat, Marine 10, to sink early Thursday just off the shore of Incline Village.

A larger, 24-foot boat, Marine 20, sank at the end of May in a similar area when it was tied to a buoy near the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort.

Marine 10 usually is stationed at Pyramid Lake but was moved to Tahoe as a replacement.

Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Harmon told KRNV-TV (https://tinyurl.com/ntqegbj ) they plan to haul the boat back to Reno to assess the damage and continue an investigation into what caused the unoccupied vessels to go down.
