CHICAGO (AP) - A Chicago woman has created a Facebook page to help musicians find their stolen gear.

Tracy Kreuser tells the Chicago Sun-Times (https://bit.ly/1ufBahk) she hopes the page she created last month will generate tips and help musicians get their lost equipment back.

She envisions the site as a central hub for people to post photos of missing instruments and facts about the thefts. The site already has photos of a half-dozen stolen guitars.

Kreuser books bands for Chicago venues. She says many musicians are barely making a living and can’t afford a major loss of equipment.

The New York band Go Deep is one example. The band lost all its equipment and a van in Chicago in May. Band member Chris Kneale says the band is still recovering from the loss.
