PURVIS, Miss. (AP) - A former volunteer firefighter in Lamar County has pleaded guilty to charges he set fire to a home in 2013.

WDAM-TV in Laurel reports (https://bit.ly/1pMhMlj) a judge ordered Michael Davis to enter Mississippi’s regimented inmate discipline program, a paramilitary program designed to rehabilitate offenders in a short period of time. He also was ordered to pay $45,000 in restitution.

Davis entered his plea Tuesday on a charge of first-degree arson.
