SARATOGA, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have relased the name of a man who drowned in an upstate New York lake.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office tells local media that 49-year-old Daniel Gurnett of Clifton Park drowned in Saratoga Lake. The manager of a private campground spotted the body floating around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Sheriff Michael Zurlo says it appeared Gurnett went swimming while visiting people at Lee’s Park campground, next to a state boat launch in the town of Saratoga, on the lake’s northern end.

An autopsy determined he drowned and police say no foul play is suspected.
