LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A project to rebuild about 9 miles of Interstate 530 in Arkansas has received a low bid of $65.5 million.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports Wednesday (https://bit.ly/1rOH1FS ) the lowest bid of three came from Redstone Construction Group Incorporated in Little Rock. A bid isn’t final until highway officials review it for accuracy.

The company said they could do the work in the least amount of time, which is about 13 months.

The project in the Little Rock area includes rehabilitating four bridges and installing a cable safety fence. It’s a part of an interstate repair program by the highway and transportation department.

The program was approved by voters in 2011. It’s aimed at repairing about 450 miles of roadway at an estimated cost of $1.2 billion.
