PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A fight behind a restaurant on Federal Hill has left one person in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/UqAdlH ) that 34-year-old Jonathan Stack of Providence was beaten with a two-by-four during a fight Wednesday night behind the Amici Sports Bar and Grill on Atwells Avenue.

Police Maj. David Lapatin says they believe the beating happened after Stack went to Federal Hill to get his money back in a $400 junk car deal gone wrong.

Police say four people were involved in the fight which broke out at about 6 p.m.

A suspect has been captured and is being questioned. He has not been charged.
