METAMORA, Mich. (AP) - A suburban Detroit man has died following an attack by two bull mastiffs as he ran in a Lapeer County village.

WDIV reports (https://bit.ly/1jXB5ds ) Thursday that the two 3-year-old dogs mauled 46-year-old Craig Sytsma Wednesday evening in Metamora, about 45 miles northwest of Detroit.

Sytsma, of Livonia, died from his wounds at a hospital.

Police tell the television station that the dogs have been involved in other biting cases. They are being held by animal control.
