SEATTLE (AP) - A bank security guard and a suspect wounded Thursday in Seattle have improved to serious condition.

Harborview Medical Center says both remain in intensive care Friday. They were in critical condition when they were admitted.

Police are still trying to sort out whether it was an attempted robbery or something else that led to the confrontation outside a Bank of America branch in the Central District.

Police say the 46-year-old security guard and the 30-year-old suspect were both shot with the guard’s gun in the struggle.
