HONOLULU (AP) - Kauai County officials say dying trees will be removed from the Tree Tunnel, a popular tourist attraction.

KHON-TV (https://is.gd/nF3GSo) says the Aug. 2 closure will affect Maluhia Road from the Tree Tunnel to the Ala Kinoiki Road junction.

Officials say the closure is necessary for the tree removal.
