NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say a child and two firefighters have been injured in an overnight fire that spread through a Bronx supermarket.

The 5-alarm blaze erupted at about 12:30 a.m. Friday at the Food Dynasty on Hunts Point Avenue.

Fire officials say it quickly spread through the building.

WNBC-TV (https://bit.ly/Uxit84 ) says 200 firefighters responded to the blaze.

Fire officials say grocery items kept reigniting the flames and firefighters were trying to stop the fire from spreading to adjacent structures.

Buildings on either side of the supermarket were evacuated as a precaution.

One child in an apartment next door was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
