FRANKLIN, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to a year in prison for setting fire in an apartment building in 2012 in Franklin.

Peter Welch also was convicted of reckless conduct. His sentence of two to five years on that charge was suspended. The 46-year-old Welch also has been ordered to pay restitution of more than $5,000.

The fire happened Oct. 5, 2012, on 4-8 Pleasant Street.
