PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - A Jackson County jury has convicted a Pascagoula man on charges of murder and aggravated assault in connection with a fatal shooting in 2013.

Adrian Orville Moore was sentenced Friday to life in prison for murder and 20 years for aggravated assault. The sentences are to run consecutively.

Moore was accused in the Jan. 20, 2013, shooting death of Hardy Parker Jr. He was also accused of shooting and injuring Parker’s brother, Alfred Durden.

Prosecutors say the two men were shot as they walked down a Pascagoula street.

Parker was shot three times and died at Singing River Hospital the same day. Durden was shot once and was treated and released from the hospital.
