PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a man was beaten and robbed during a home invasion in which his truck was stolen.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson says the man was asleep in a chair early Thursday morning when an intruder woke him and demanded valuables.

The man was beaten, tied up and put in a bathroom, from where he heard the voice of a second intruder.

Thompson says the intruders left with the victim’s white 2013 pickup with Arizona license plate AYV8813.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that Thompson described as non-life threatening.
