DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police say vandals caused thousands of dollars in damage to a cemetery in southwest Detroit.

The Detroit News reports (https://bit.ly/1t3M1JI ) officers responded Thursday to Woodmere Cemetery, where urns were knocked over and cremated remains spread around. Officer Adam Madera says vandals also spray painted on walls and broke glass.

The damage was discovered by a caretaker. Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact Detroit police.
