MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - One of Vermont’s most ethnically diverse cities concludes its annual Heritage Festival this weekend with historic tours, a parade, food vendors and other festivities.

The Barre Heritage Festival celebrates the immigrant stonecutters who came a century and more ago to work in the area’s granite industry and combines the observance with its annual community homecoming.

Activities range from art exhibits to a lobster bake at midday Saturday and a community worship service and barbecue on Sunday.
