MCCOMB, Miss. (AP) - Lake Tangipahoa at Percy Quin State Park south of McComb is reopening Friday to recreational boating only.

Park administrator Will Busby says no fishing will be allowed. The lake recently was restocked with fish and won’t be open to fishing for two to three years.

The lake has been closed since heavy rains damaged the dam during Hurricane Isaac in August 2012. The dam has since been rebuilt and the lake is approaching normal levels.

Busby says the lake will be open for boating and skiing only. Skiing will only be allowed in areas marked off by buoys near the dam.

The dam road is closed pending further construction.
