TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A suspect has been arrested in the death of a 75-year-old man whose body was found in an abandoned well west of Tucson.

Pima County Sheriff’s detectives located the body of William Sattler 25 feet down the well Wednesday.

They had been investigating the disappearance of the Three Points man, who had been reported missing Tuesday afternoon.

Sheriff’s officials say Sattler died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.

They say 51-year-old Donald Stewart was questioned and then arrested in the case.

He’s been booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.

It’s was unclear Thursday if Stewart has an attorney yet.
