WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - The trial for a man suspected of killing a Williston hobby rancher has been delayed and moved.

Ryan Stensaker is accused of killing Jack Sjol in April 2013. Stensaker, 33, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, a Class AA felony.

KXMC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1kMo3z4 ) his trial was scheduled to start next week in Williston. Judge David Nelson ruled Thursday to move the trial to Ellendale because of publicity surrounding the case. The trial will now start December 9.

Sjol’s body was found in a garbage dump May 14, 2013, after his family reported him missing. Sjol had bullet wounds to his head, face and upper left arm.

Stensaker faces a maximum sentence of life in prison if he’s convicted.

Several others also face charges in Sjol’s killing.
