BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The Burlington Development Review Board is going to be getting a look at a proposal for a 23-apartment building at the corner of Main and Pine streets in the Vermont city’s downtown.

The permit application says the six-story building would fill much of an existing parking lot.

Marian Fritz, the property manager for Grandview Farms, Inc., which owns the lot, says they’ve been thinking about the project for a long time.

Fritz says Grandview Farms expects the proposal will receive extra scrutiny because of its downtown location.

Fritz tells the Burlington Free Press (https://bfpne.ws/1pOauCm): “We want it to be beautiful, too.”

The first meeting with the development board is scheduled for Aug. 5.
